International Power Global Developments Limited (IPGDL) supports the principle of “Investing In People”. We strongly believe in continual improvement and development of our staff. The Company offers training and development opportunities to all staff on a local as well as international level.
Graduate Trainee Program
IPGDL provides a two year learning experience primarily to fresh engineering graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in power generation.
Training is imparted through a variety of tools including on-job learning, class room training, rotations and open learning centre. Continuous mentoring, periodic assessments, projects, feedback are the other key features of this program.
Apprentice Training Program
IPGDL has been playing its role in supporting the local community through initiatives in supporting education and healthcare (please see section on Social Action Plan). In this regard, a modern technical apprenticeship scheme for young people from Baluchistan was introduced in 1997, which is based on internationally recognised standards. Over 120 graduates have so far successfully completed their apprenticeship and have applied their learning to positively contribute to the community, economy and themselves.
